CAYUGA CO., N.Y. — Cornell Cooperative Extension of Cayuga County’s Board of Directors is pleased to announce the hiring of Daniel Welch as Associate Director. Daniel comes to CCE from Cornell University where he works as an Extension Associate and Business and Succession Planning Coordinator with the New York FarmNet program. Immediately before FarmNet, he worked for CCE as an Extension Resource Educator in Cayuga County. Daniel has the experience developing working relationships with farmers, community members, researchers and educators that is vital for this role.

Catherine Moran has served as Interim Director since November 2018 after Executive Director, Douglas Ververs retired. Daniel will transition to Associate Director as of October 28, 2019.

The Board of Directors is excited for the future of CCE Cayuga under Daniel’s leadership and wishes to thank Catherine for her contributions over the last year.
