BINGHAMTON, N.Y. — Cornell Cooperative Extension of Broome County will host Fresh Food Face Off 2.0, Tuesday, September 21, 5:00-7:00 p.m., 840 Upper Front Street, Binghamton
Fresh Food Face Off 2.0 is a “reimagined drive-thru/pick-up” event. FFFO 2.0 will feature nine of the area’s best restaurants and chefs, including Parlor City Vegan, Lost Dog Café, Social on State, The Beef, Remlik’s Grille & Oyster Bar, Pinkie’s Barbecue, Red & White Catering, Broome-Tioga BOCES Culinary Arts and a team of chefs from the Broome County Regional Farmers Market’s Commercial Kitchen.
Each of the tastings will feature ingredients fresh from the Farmers Market. Each box will contain three chicken, three pork and three vegetarian tastings, desserts prepared by the chefs at Old Barn Market & Gluten Free Bakery and Chroma Café & Bakery—plus a charcuterie jar.
People can pick-up their beautifully boxed tastings to enjoy at home, enjoy on the Taste NY deck overlooking the beautiful Cutler Botanic Garden, or picnic in the garden. A limited number of tables and chairs will be set up on the Taste NY deck and in the garden—and people are encouraged to bring picnic blankets. There will also be a “Pour for Donation” station and a “Wine Grab” station.
Following the event, attendees will have an opportunity to vote online for the “Best Chicken,” “Best Pork” and “Best Vegetarian” tastings, as well as the “People’s Choice.”
