MADISON CO., N.Y. — The 103rd Annual Meeting for Cornell Cooperative Extension of Madison County will take place via Zoom on October 22nd beginning at 6pm. In addition to programming highlights, awards, and a short business meeting, New York State Ag and Markets Commissioner Richard Ball will join to share thoughts on NYS Agriculture through the lens of Covid-19.
CCE Annual Meetings provide an important opportunity to share information and updates on signature programs and outreach projects. While this year’s meeting will follow a virtual format, it will still feature many of the same key components found in prior years in order to showcase the depth and breadth of work and the impact across the County. The annual meeting is free with required advanced registration in order to access the zoom meeting information. Madison County residents that register prior to October 20th will receive a ballot for CCE MC board members (3 year terms). Voting closes at noon on October 21st. The slate of Board of Directors candidates includes: Monica Cody, Mathew Webber, and Lorna Wilson for 2nd term of service; Greg Coon and Erick Haas for 1st term of service.
Another feature of the CCE Madison County Annual Meeting is annual award recognition. This year’s recognition includes: Heritage Farm Award: Westfall Dairy, LLC for 169 years of farming; 4-H Youth in Action Award: Julianna Tomcho of M.E. Sprouting Seeds; Dairy of Distinction Award: Swamp Bottom Farm. In addition, CCE Madison County will recognize Chobani for their support and impact through the Friend of Extension Award.
Registration information can be found on the CCE Madison website and Facebook page. It can also be accessed directly through this link: http://madisoncountycce.org/about-us/2020-annual-meeting
