GUILDERLAND CENTER, N.Y. — Local vendors, growers and buyers are invited to attend the Capital District Region Farm to Fork Local Food Expo on Wednesday, January 22, 2020 12:00 – 4:00 pm (Snow date: Thursday, January 23, 2020) at the Guilderland High School Gym, 8 School Rd., Guilderland Center, NY 12085.
If you are a vendor/grower looking to increase your visibility and sales with local regional businesses like schools, institutions, restaurants, wholesalers and supermarkets, then you should plan on attending this free event.
If you are a buyer, you will have the opportunity to meet regional growers, small scale food processors, bakers and many more. You will be able to sample high quality products and increase your procurement of locally grown and produced products.
If you are a school district, connecting with vendors at this event may help you reach your goal of at least 30% locally produced ingredients used in your lunch program. Schools reaching the 30% level will see an increase in the school lunch reimbursement rate.
There is no cost to attend this event, but we ask that you register by contacting Sydney Joy at Cornell Cooperative Extension Albany County, firstname.lastname@example.org or 518-765-3579.
No alcoholic products or CBD based products are allowed on school grounds. Cornell Cooperative Extension Albany County and the Guilderland Central School District are proud sponsors of this event.
