SACRAMENTO — Food Processing Expo 2019 will be held February 12-13 in Sacramento. The Expo is the largest food processing trade show in California and is attended by food processors, agricultural producers and allied industry members from throughout the state, the U.S. and several international countries.
Raley’s CEO and President Keith Knopf is the Expo Keynote Speaker. Knopf is recognized as a Fortune 200 leader with more than 25 years of retail experience. Raley’s is one of the largest buyers of food products in California, and Knopf will share his insights on grocery retail trends in the state.
The Expo features an expansive trade show floor and two days of industry workshops of interest to both large and small food producers, including Protect Your Company from Food Labeling Litigation, What You Need to Know About New GMO Labeling Rules and Food Byproducts as a Resource: Novel Research Efforts at UC Davis.
The Expo also includes a Tasting Pavilion, featuring food samples from California League of Food Producer (CLFP) members and California universities. New at the Tasting Pavilion this year on February 13 is Elisabeth Watkins, The Farm Girl Chef, who will prepare her own original recipes using CLFP member products. Watkins was a Food Network Chopped Junior winner at age 14 and holds many other food accolades. She learned to appreciate food growing up on a sixth-generation family farm near Linden, California.
The Food Processing Expo is produced each year by CLFP, an association representing the interests of both large and small food and beverage processors throughout the state. CLFP works to help ensure a favorable and profitable business environment for its members and the food processing industry.
