BROOME CO., N.Y. — Broome County Fair 4-H Animal Science Show was another huge success this year. All exhibitors did a fantastic job with their 4-H projects and educating the public about agriculture. Congratulations to all Exhibitors on a great job! A special congratulation to the following:
In the Goat Show Receiving Master Showman was Kyler Meisner and reserve Master Showman was Alyssa Denton. In Dairy Goats Grand Champion went to Alyssa Denton. In meat goats Grand Champion went to Kyler Meisner. Other 4-H Goat Exhibitors include Reanna Quail.
In the Sheep Show, Brycen Aukema was named Master Showman, Reserve Master Showman went to Annaleen Aukema. Grand Champion Market Lamb was won by Annaleen Aukema. Grand Champion Ram went to Fenton Aukema and Reserve Grand Champion Ram went to Brycen Aukema. Grand Champion Ewe went to Annaleen Aukema and Reserve Champion Ewe went to Brycen Aukema.
In the Swine Show, Master Showman was won by Macie Quail and Reserve Master Showman by Kyler Meisner. Grand Champion Market Hog went to Kyler Meisner and Reserve Grand Champion Market Hog went to Macie Quail. Grand Champion Breeding Guilt went to Macie Quail. Grand Champion Breeding Guilt for the Heritage Breed was Abigail Kemak. Other 4-H Swine Exhibitors include Kennedy Quail and Keegan Quail.
In the Beef Show, Layla Blodgett was Master Showman and Kyler Meisner was Reserve Master Showman. Grand Champion and Reserve Grand Champion Female Beef Animal went to Layla Blodgett. Grand Champion Market Animal went to Kyler Meisner. Other 4-H Beef Animal Exhibitors included Jonathon Hayes and Cassie Hayes
In the 4-H Dairy Cattle Show, Master Showman was won by MacKenzie Meisner and Reserve Master Showman went to Kyler Meisner. MacKenzie Meisner had Grand Champion Brown Swiss. Griffen Aukema had Grand Champion Jersey. Kyler Meisner received Grand Champion Holstein and Ayrshire. Leah Aukema received Grand Champion Guernsey.
Grand Champion Recorded Grade went to Cassie Hayes. MacKenzie Meisner received Supreme Champion with her Brown Swiss. Other 4-H Exhibitors in the dairy show included Fenton Aukema, Annaleen Aukema, Brady Aukema, Brycen Aukema, Jonathon Hayes, Johnathon Kiehle, Emily Gordinier, Reanna Quail, Aubrey Hurbis, MacKenzie Price, Rory Cornell, Garrett Quail, Melody VanGorder, Jacob Price, Sadee Short, Leah Bailey, and Garrus VanGorder.
In the 4-H Poultry Show our Payton Martin receive Supreme Master Showman. Grand Champion Senior Showman went to Cassie Hayes, Grand Champion Junior Showman went to Payton Martin and Reserve Champion Junior Showman went to Abigail Kemak, Grand Champion Novice Showman went to Lincoln Martin and Reserve Novice Showman went to Addison Feathers! Best of Show was awarded to Anah Huston for her Market Pen of 3 Meat Chickens. Grand Champion Market Pen of 3 Meat Chickens went to Anah Huston and Reserve Grand Champion Market Pen went to Alice Richardson. Grand Champion Water Fowl went to Lincoln Martin and Reserve Champion Water Fowl went to Payton Martin. Grand Champion Large Breed Poultry went to Alice Richardson and Reserve Champion Large Chicken went to Cassie Hayes. Other 4-H exhibitors in the Poultry show included Brooke Feathers, Leah Aukema, Hope Walker, Jonathan Hayes, Rachel Su and Patty Su.
In the 4-H Rabbit Show Grand Champion Senior Showman went to Reanna Quail and Reserved Grand Champion Senior Showman went to Emily Gordinier. Grand Champion Junior Showman went to Payton Martin and Reserved Grand Champion Junior Showman went to Alice Richardson. Grand Champion Novice Showman went to Anah Huston and Reserved Grand Champion Junior Showman went to Brooke Feathers. Judges Choice Showman went Addison Feathers. Best of Show was won by Leah Griffith, Reserved Champion Best of Show was won by Brooke Feathers. Other 4-H Exhibitors in the rabbit show included Melody VanGorder, Jonathon Hayes, Cassie Hayes, Garret Quail, Leah Aukema, Lincoln Martin.
In the 4-H Horse Show in the Gymkhana division, Grand Champions were Leah Griffith for the Pony Division, Payton Martin for the Junior Division, Makenna Livingston for the Senior Division and Laynee Glezen was Reserve Champion.
In the 4-H Youth Building we had 26 youth exhibit. Cloverbuds, or our youngest members, ages 5-7 was Rachel Su. Our older members were, Leah Griffith, Abigail Kemak, Madalyn Barrows, Natalie Barrows, Emily Gordinier, Aaron Hayes, Cassie Hayes, Johnathon Hayes, Elizabeth Kiehle, Isabelle Kiehle, Patricia Su, Andrew Whittaker, Brandon Whittaker, Annaleen Aukema, Brycen Aukema, Lincoln Martin, Garrett Quail, Reanna Quail, Addison Feathers, Brooke Feathers, Leah Aukema, Alyssa Denton, Alice Richardson, Payton Martin, and Fenton Aukema.
