PUEBLO, Colo. — Two popular Colorado State Fair competitions bring in hundreds of beers to compete for a prestigious title. The “Homebrew Competition” and “Craft Beer Competition” provides a friendly battleground for hobby and professional beer and ale enthusiasts.
The Homebrew Competition is open to anyone 21 years of age or older who makes beer or ale as a hobby. The entry fee is only $7. Registration is now open with an August 4th deadline. Judging will take place on August 19th.
The Craft Beer Competition is open to any licensed brewery that conforms to state and federal regulations. The entry fee is $35 with a cap at 350 entries. Registration is now open with an August 4th deadline. Judging will take place on August 20th.
New this year, Label Contest! Participants can also enter the label contest for $7 per label (for Homebrew) and $35 per label (for Craft Beer). This is a separate contest from the beer competition with a label submitted on an empty bottle.
