WASHINGTON, N.C. — The 52nd annual “Blackland Farm Managers Tour” will be held on Wednesday, August 3rd in Beaufort County.
The hosts for this year’s event will be Southland Farms and Howell Farms. If using GPS, please enter this address: 3385 Swindell Road, Pantego NC 27860. Registration begins at 7:00 AM with the tours starting at 8:00 AM. Lunch and remarks will begin around 12:30 PM.
As always, the event will include educational presentations about corn (Dr. Ron Heiniger), soybeans (Dr. Rachel Vann, Dr. Luke Gattiboni), and cotton (Dr. Guy Collins).
In addition, we will devote some time to the business side of agriculture, as we will have Jolene Brown presenting at one of the tour stops on the tour this year. Often called, “The Dr. Phil of Agriculture”, Jolene is direct, respectful and generous with her advice and focused solutions to family business challenges. Her fun-filled, eye-opening presentations will keep attendees laughing while they learn. Everyone needs to hear her…you will not be disappointed!
Come join us on August 3rd.
