MT. VERNON, Mo. — A blackberry workshop is set for Wednesday, June 27, from 1 to 4 pm at the MU Southwest Research Center, 14548 Highway H, Mt Vernon, MO 65712.
University of Missouri Extension commercial horticulture specialist Patrick Byers will present an overview of blackberry management and harvest, broad mite and spotted wing drosophila management, RCA (Rotating Cross Arm) trellis and thornless blackberry research at the MU Southwest Research Center with first year results. The $10 registration fee per attendee may be paid at the door.
The workshop includes classroom instruction as well as on-site instruction at the research plot at the center.
