SUTHERLAND, Iowa — Iowa State University’s Northwest Iowa Research Farm will host a bioreactor project field day Tuesday, Aug. 13 from 1:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m. at the farm located at 6320 500th Street, Sutherland.
Area landowners and farm operators are invited to come see an actual bioreactor installation and ask questions concerning installations on their own farms.
Experts available to answer questions and share information on the bioreactor project include:
- Matt Helmers, Iowa Nutrient Research Center Director
- Kris Kohl, Agricultural Engineering Specialist with ISU Extension and Outreach
- Joel DeJong, Field Agronomist with ISU Extension and Outreach
- Paul Kassel, Field Agronomist with ISU Extension and Outreach
- Justin Boersma, NRCS District Conservationist
- Liz Juchems, Iowa Learning Farms Ag & Biosystems Engineer
- Brian Heinsohn, Heinsohn Digging and Tiling Owner/Operator
The field day is free and open to the public. Preregistration not necessary.
