SALEM, Ore. — The Oregon Department of Agriculture is pleased to announce a virtual BSAAO workshop in partnership with the Washington and Idaho Departments of Agriculture and the Food and Drug Administration (FDA).
The training will cover best practices of composting within the context of the Produce Safety rule, with perspectives from industry, cooperative extension, and regulatory agencies.
What to expect
A three-day event where we will cover best practices on treating biological soil amendments, insight from different industry experts, and educational discussions on BSAAOs and compost regulations.
Who should attend
Growers of fresh produce, composters, educators, regulators, and any other soil amendment Industry members.
How to attend
This event is to be held virtually via Zoom. If you are not familiar with Zoom, please take a moment prior to the workshop to familiarize yourself with the program.
