WASHINGTON, Iowa — Washington County Extension and Outreach will be hosting a Transitioning to Farming meeting on December 4, 2018 from 5:30 p.m. to 8:30 p.m. at the Washington County Extension Office. The Extension Office is located at 2223 250th St, Washington, IA.
Next Generation Ag Advocates, Mike Downey, Steve Bohr, and Glen Moeller will be joining us to discuss strategies to assist landowners and tenants with long-term land lease agreements as well as some insightful methods on renting land. The meeting will feature the following topics and speakers:
• Farm Succession Strategies for Your Family’s Farm- Steve Bohr, Farm Transition Specialist
• Connecting the Next Generation of Landowners & Producers- Glen Moeller, Retired Farmer & Iowa Landowner
• How to Promote Fair Lease Arrangements for 2019- Mike Downey, Land & Lease Consultant
