WARSAW, N.Y. — Subjects covered will be: Getting started keeping honeybees, with information on equipment and suits needed, basic honeybee biology, and how to map out the year. Also, detailed information on ordering a starter package or a nuclear colony of honeybees, and the important difference between the two. Woodenware for hives, tools, feeding equipment, treating equipment, and much more will be on hand. Discussion will include installation of new colonies, and installation of a new queen to a hive. When to harvest honey, how much to take and how much to leave for a colony.
