SOUTH PARIS, Maine — University of Maine Cooperative Extension Oxford County will host a workshop on beef cattle nutrition Feb. 20, from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m., at 9 Olson Road, South Paris.
UMaine Extension assistant professor and livestock specialist Colt Knight will discuss the basic principles of corn- and grass-fed beef cattle nutrition. Topics will include digestive anatomy, rumen development, and Body Condition Scoring. Participants will become Beef Quality Assurance certified.
