COLLEGE STATION, Texas — The Texas A&M AgriLife Extension Service will hold a Beef Cattle and Forage Management Seminar on Oct. 31 in Franklin.
The event will be from 7:30 a.m.-3 p.m. and will offer both in-person and online attendance options. In-person attendees should arrive at 7 a.m. at the Pridgeon Community Center, 351 Cooks Lane.

Seven Texas Department of Agriculture pesticide continuing education units will be offered. The first five hours of the program will cover all requirements for commercial applicator license holders. A TDA license number is required at time of registration.

- Grass bur Control in Central Texas — Scott Nolte, Ph.D., AgriLife Extension state weed specialist, Bryan-College Station.
- Use of IPM Principles to Control Forage Pests and Other Farm Pests — Sonja Swiger, Ph.D., AgriLife Extension entomologist, Stephenville.
- Weed Control in Pastures and Hay Fields — Vanessa Corriher-Olson, Ph.D., AgriLife Extension forage specialist, Overton.
- How to Control Pond Weeds in Central Texas Ponds — Brittany Chesser, Ph.D., AgriLife Extension aquatic vegetation management specialist, Bryan-College Station.
- Use of Pesticide Toxicants and Other Methods to Control Feral Hogs — Zach Davis, AgriLife Extension agriculture and natural resources agent, Hill County.
