SUTHERLAND SPRINGS, Texas — A Beef Cattle and Forage Management program will be held from 9 a.m.-noon May 14 at Bugg Farms, 1287 County Road 314, Sutherland Springs.
The program, presented by Texas A&M AgriLife Extension Service offices in Atascosa, Bexar, Guadalupe and Wilson counties, will offer two Texas Department of Agriculture integrated pest management continuing education units.
The cost is $10, and attendees will register on-site at 9:15 a.m. the day of the program. Make checks payable to the Wilson County Ag Fund.
An RSVP is required by May 12 to the AgriLife Extension office in Wilson County at 830-393-7357.
“This program will provide beef cattle producers with useful information on cattle parasites, stocking rates and chemical applications that will help them prepare for spring and summer,” said Sam Womble, AgriLife Extension agriculture and natural resources agent, Bexar County.
