BARTOW, Fla. — The UF/IFAS Extension Polk County invites you to participate in our “Basic Backyard Chicken Workshop.” This educational opportunity will be held on May 25 at the UF/IFAS Extension Polk County office located at 1702 S Holland Pkwy, Bartow, FL 33830 from 5:30 pm to 8:00 pm.
This program will provide participants with essential information on how to raise backyard chickens in Florida. Topics that will be covered in the class will include the laws and regulations of Backyard chickens in Florida, common chicken breeds, nutrition, housing, common chicken diseases, and biosecurity. This will be an in-person interactive workshop. Dinner and refreshments will be provided. Registration cost is: $15.00 per person and pre-registration is required by May 19, 2023.
