TIMONIUM, Md. — Farmers Markets are considered an essential business and an important food source during the current state of emergency and have been requested to remain open by the Maryland Department of Agriculture. The Baltimore County Farmers Market at the Maryland State Fairgrounds Opening Day is Wednesday, June 3, and will offer high quality in-season fresh local produce, starting with strawberries, asparagus, spinach, lettuce, spring onions and more. Meats (beef, chicken and pork), eggs, wine, cheese, herbs, vegetable seedlings, flowers, pet treats, and more will also be featured local items.
The Baltimore County Farmers Market will make the necessary recommended adjustments in an effort to mitigate the spread of COVID-19: promote social distancing; increase access to hand sanitizer/washing stations for staff; regularly sanitize touch surfaces; and consider any operational changes that may reduce the spread of infection.
DATES: Every Wednesday, June 3 – October 28, 2020 (w/ special hours during the MD State Fair).
TIME: 10 AM – 1 PM
