Baltimore County Farmers Market kicks off season on June 2

Will be held each Wednesday until October at Maryland State Fairgrounds

Rain or shine, it’s time to support local agriculture at the Baltimore County Farmers Market at the Maryland State Fairgrounds. Local farmers and producers will offer fresh local produce, starting with strawberries, asparagus, spring onions and more. Meats, eggs, flowers, vegetable and herb seedlings, wine, cheese, and more will also be available. (photos provided)

TIMONIUM, Md. — Rain or shine, it’s time to support local agriculture at the Baltimore County Farmers Market at the Maryland State Fairgrounds. Local farmers and producers will offer fresh local produce, starting with strawberries, asparagus, spring onions and more. Meats, eggs, flowers, vegetable and herb seedlings, wine, cheese, and more will also be available.

Farmers Markets are considered an essential business and an important food source during the current state of emergency and have been requested to remain open by the Maryland Department of Agriculture. The Baltimore County Farmers Market will make the necessary recommended adjustments in an effort to mitigate the spread of COVID-19: recommend social distancing and mask wearing; increase access to hand sanitizer/washing stations; regularly sanitize touch surfaces; and consider any operational changes that may reduce the spread of infection.

DATES: Every Wednesday, June 2 – October 27, 2021 (w/ special hours during the MD State Fair).
TIME: 10 AM – 1 PM
LOCATION: Conveniently located with free parking at the MD State Fairgrounds Main Gate,
2200 York Road, Timonium, MD 21093 (next to the digital sign).

“Our market is unique in that it is run mainly by Baltimore County farmers and producers with fresh, high-quality produce and more,” said Baltimore County Farmers Market Manager Bill Langlotz. “We thank our customers for supporting local farmers and producers and ask their help by coming in good health, wearing recommended face masks, following distancing and other market rules, and washing purchases before eating.”

Baltimore County Farmers Market at the Maryland State Fairgrounds vendors include: Albright Farms, Daily Crisis Farm, Harford Vineyard & Winery, Hills Forest Fruit Farm, and White House Fresh Flowers.
