Attend the Vermont Wood Works Council Annual Meeting, Jan. 20th

Offers woodworkers of all walks the chance to connect and hear the latest updates on the Vermont wood products industry

BRANDON, Vt. — Join the Vermont Woodworks Council (VWWC) at their Annual Meeting on Friday, January 20, 2023. This event offers woodworkers of all walks the chance to connect and hear the latest updates on the Vermont wood products industry.

The Annual Meeting will begin with a tour of New England Woodcraft in Forest Dale, VT. New England Woodcraft has been a leading custom contract furniture maker since 1961 and has been involved in VWWC in the past. Attendees will get to tour their fully automated, 80,000 square foot facility. The tour will start at 1:00 P.M. and finish around 2:30 P.M.

Following the tour, the Annual Meeting will move to downtown Brandon, VT at the Brandon Inn. The meeting will commence at 3:00 P.M. with some remarks from VWWC president Charlie Shackleton. Election of board members and officers will take place and the winners of this year’s Industry Awards will be recognized. Attendees will have the opportunity to share updates on their businesses. Danielle Fitzko, Director of Vermont’s Department of Forests, will also be giving a presentation at the meeting which will include a question & answer session following her talk. Drinks and light refreshments will be available during this portion of the meeting.

VWWC President Charlie Shackleton is looking forward to the event saying: “My hope for the future of the Council and all value-added wood products businesses is Community, Prosperity, Visibility.”
