TRENTON, N.J. — The Assembly cleared Assemblyman Ron Dancer’s resolution commending the New Jersey Farm Bureau for 100 years of agricultural advocacy.
Dancer’s measure (ACR190) cites the bureau’s efforts to strengthen farming across the state, and help farms thrive in a dynamic marketplace.
“For a century, the bureau has remained steadfast in promoting New Jersey’s farms, orchards and vineyards,” said Dancer, R-Ocean. “While helping our agriculture and food industries flourish, the Farm Bureau’s consistent leadership and vision has become a model for success.”
The Farm Bureau was established in 1919 as the New Jersey Council of County Boards of Agriculture and now represents more than 10,000 farm families.
“This is the Garden State. Agriculture injects billions of dollars into the economy every year,” said Dancer. “The bureau works with its members to be the voice and representative for New Jersey agriculture in its many facets. Its influence is felt by legislators, public opinion makers and consumers alike.”
