BINGHAMTON, N.Y. — Ash trees in Broome County are under attack from emerald ash borer (EAB), an invasive tree pest that infests and kills all species of native ash trees.
Cornell Cooperative Extension of Broome County is holding a workshop to help property owners understand management options for their ash trees. The workshop will be held on Tuesday, May 8th at 6:30 p.m. at 840 Upper Front Street, Binghamton.
Topics covered during the program will include EAB biology, identifying signs and symptoms of infested trees, protecting trees with insecticides, and how to select an arborist or tree care professional.
There is no charge for the workshop, but please call (607) 772-8953 or email kjm8@cornell.edu to register.
