HERKIMER CO., N.Y. — Cornell Cooperative Extension’s (CCE) Central NY Dairy, Livestock, and Field Crops Team (CNYDLFC) is hosting an artificial insemination training course for area dairy and beef producers. For information and how to register, go to https://cnydfc.cce.cornell.
The program features John Jacobs from Select Sires. He will be teaching the two day Do It Yourself (DIY) Artificial Insemination (AI) in Cattle course. The course includes both classroom and practical components. The DIY Artificial Insemination in Cattle course is designed for those wishing to perform AI in their own cattle. Topics include understanding safe semen handling and AI techniques, carrying out the correct AI techniques and practice on live cattle.
