SACRAMENTO — The California Strawberry Scholarship Program was founded by farmers to help children of California strawberry field workers to further their education and career goals. Over the past 26 years, $2.6 million in scholarship have been awarded to support the dreams of a higher education.
Awards are available for graduating high school seniors and current college students. This scholarship program funds educational paths at accredited trade or vocational programs, community colleges, universities, as well as graduate and professional degrees and certificates.
To promote this program, printed materials (posters and payroll inserts) are available: samples will arrive the mail within the next few weeks. If you would like to have materials sent to you or a colleague, contact the commission at scholarships@calstrawberry.org or 831.724.1301.
