Apples
Oregon apple utilized production totaled 154 million pounds in 2021, down 12 percent from the previous year. Value of utilized production was $66.5 million, up 70 percent from 2020. In Washington, apple utilized production totaled
6.49 billion pounds in 2021, down 1 percent from the previous year. Value of utilized production was $2.19 billion, up 4 percent from 2020.
Sweet Cherries
Oregon sweet cherry utilized production totaled 45,540 tons in 2021, down 18 percent from the previous year. Value of utilized production was $67.1 million, down 50 percent from 2020. In Washington, sweet cherry utilized production totaled 231,650 tons in 2021, up 16 percent from the previous year. Value of utilized production was $476 million, down 15 percent from 2020.
Grapes
In Washington, all grape utilized production totaled 295,000 tons, down 9 percent from 2020. Value of utilized
production, at $301 million, was down slightly from the previous year. Wine grape utilized production was 180,000 tons, up 1 percent from 2020, while juice grape utilized production was down 22 percent to 115,000 tons. The value of utilized wine grape production totaled $263 million, down 2 percent from the previous year, while the value of juice grape utilized production was $38.0 million, up 10 percent from 2020.
Pears
Pear utilized production in Oregon was 258,230 tons in 2021, up 24 percent from 2020. Value of utilized production was $134 million, up 38 percent from the previous year. In Washington, pear utilized production totaled 295,090 tons in 2021, down 11 percent from the previous year. Value of utilized production was $158 million, down 6 percent from 2020.
Blueberries
In Oregon, utilized production of blueberries totaled 150 million pounds in 2021, down 2 percent from the previous year. Value of utilized production was $172 million, up 43 percent from 2020. Washington utilized blueberry production was 180 million pounds in 2021, up 9 percent from 2020. Value of utilized production was $228 million, up 5 percent from the previous year.
