BOURBONNAIS, Ill. — University of Illinois Extension, Kankakee County will hold their Annual Sheep & Goat Workshop on Saturday, January 27, 2018 from 9 a.m. – 3:30 p.m. Workshop speakers will include U of I Extension educators and experienced sheep & goat raisers. They will present valuable information to cover topics that will touch on pasture establishment and rotation grazing management; animal husbandry (handling newly-born offspring, and year-long management); health & pregnancy issues; extending the grazing season; adding forages to pasture; and strategies to cut on feeding costs. And, as always, a question & answer session will provide an informal opportunity to learn even more.
A pre-registration fee of $25 per person (includes lunch and handouts) for the workshop is required by January 24, 2018.
