KANKAKEE, Ill. — Whether you are a beginner or have considerable beekeeping experience, this event is for everyone!
Topics of discussion will include equipment, preparing to spring into spring beekeeping, pest information (especially on dealing with Varroa mites), how to inspect a hive and keep records, attracting honey bees, information resources and answers to your questions. It is a great event to network and meet a beekeeper equipment vendor. Some of the speakers are experienced beekeepers and will offer valuable tips and information. Weather allowing, a hands-on demonstration may be included. Cost per participant is $20 (includes lunch and handouts). Register by Feb. 28, 2018.
