CHARLOTTE, N.Y. — Cornell Cooperative Extension of Monroe County will be hosting the annual 4-H EXPO at Ontario Beach Park (Charlotte) on Saturday, June 23, 2018 from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. This family-friendly event drew over 500 people of all ages in 2017.
The 4-H EXPO is an opportunity for families to experience all that our 4-H program in Monroe County has to offer. This event is free and open to the public. Families of all ages are encouraged to attend.
Activities will include 4-H STEM crafts & demos, including robotics, farm animal petting zoo, 4-H member & club projects, and 4-H club demos. Also scheduled: Seneca Park Zoo ZooMobile from 11:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m., RFD Fire Safety House, Recreation on the Move, and Dog Obedience demonstrations.
4-H, a youth development program delivered by Cornell Cooperative Extension of Monroe County is hosting the event in partnership with the Monroe County Parks Department. 4-H is the largest youth development organization in the United States, serving over 6 million youth of all ages. In 4-H, we believe in the power of young people. We see that every child has valuable strengths and real influence to improve the world around us.
Cornell Cooperative Extension of Monroe County staff and volunteers will be present to share information regarding our 4-H, Master Gardener, Nutrition & Agriculture/Ag in the Classroom Programs.
