Angus champions parade at Kansas State Fair ROV Angus Show

Jim Pipkin, Republic, Mo., evaluated the 82 females, 26 bulls and three cow-calf pairs

HUTCHINSON, Kan. — Angus exhibitors led 111 entries at the 2020 Kansas State Fair Roll of Victory (ROV) Angus Show, September 19 in Hutchinson, Kan. Jim Pipkin, Republic, Mo., evaluated the 82 females, 26 bulls and three cow-calf pairs.

Rowdi Van Zee, Sioux City, Iowa, led the grand champion female. Hoffman Peg 9482 is a January 2019 daughter of Plum Creek Refresh 561A and first topped the junior division.

Duck River Erica 953 claimed reserve grand champion female and senior calf champion. Beau Rowlett, Hurricane Mills, Tenn., owns the November 2019 daughter of S A V Renown 3439.

Ben Nikkel, Mc Pherson, Kan., showed the grand champion cow-calf pair. SSF Bardot 3268 is a March 2018 daughter of K Bar D Native Joe 32D. A February 2020 son of W L E Legit B30 is at side.

Jayce Dickerson, Paradise, Kan., owns the reserve grand champion cow-calf pair. Bar S Pride 3695 is an April 2013 daughter of B C Lookout 7024. A March 2020 bull calf sired by EXAR Blue Chip 1877B is at side.

Chris & Sharon Sankey, Council Grove, Kan.; Silveira Bros., Firebaugh, Calif.; and Rockin S Ranch Inc., Riverdale, Calif., own the supreme champion and grand champion bull. Silveiras Forbes 8088 is an April 2018 son of Silveiras Style 9303 and first won senior champion.

VZR Diamond Jack 1905 won reserve grand champion bull. Rowdi Van Zee owns the January 2019 son of 5T Power Chip 4790 that first won junior champion.
