ST. JOSEPH, Mo. — Exhibitors led 170 entries at the 2022 Missouri State Fair Angus Show, August 12 in Sedalia, Mo. Harlan Yocham, Sapulpa, Okla., evaluated the 141 females, 26 bulls and three cow-calf pairs before selecting champions.
Hillard/Gerloff Pitbull 102 claimed grand champion and junior champion bull honors. Olivia Gerloff, Bland, Mo., owns the March 2021 son of Silveiras Style 930.
Valley Oaks Angus, Oak Grove, Mo.; Ward Brother’s Livestock, Plattsburg, Mo.; and Premier Genetics LLC, Warsaw, Mo., own the reserve grand champion bull. WB Prince 130 is an October 2021 son of Mill Brae Identified 4031. He earlier won senior calf champion.
Ferree Fitz Elisha 2141 captured grand champion female for Jace Pipkin, Republic, Mo.; and Mercedes Ferree, Sullivan, Ind. The April 2021 daughter of PVF Blacklist 7077 first won late junior champion.
Cealy Bedwell, Holt, Mo., showed the reserve grand champion female. CB Princess Val 101 is a February 2021 daughter of Stevenson Turning Point and first won early junior champion.
Mead Emma T002 was named grand champion cow-calf pair. Annaliese Mead, Barnett, Mo., owns the December 2018 daughter of PVF Surveillance 4129. A January 2022 heifer calf sired by Colburn Primo 5153 completes the winning pair.
AM Livestock, Richmond, Kan., owns the reserve grand champion cow-calf pair. Wallace Elsiemere 6129 is a November 2016 daughter of GCC Business Elite. A February 2022 heifer calf sired by PVF Insight 0129 completes the winning pair.
