TAMPA, Fla. — Angus exhibitors led 127 entries at the 2020 Florida State Fair Angus Show, February 6 in Tampa, Fla. Mitch Thomas, Raymondville, Texas, evaluated the 95 females, 21 bulls and 11 cow-calf pairs before selecting champions.
- Alvarez Primo C021 claimed grand champion bull honors. Austin Alvarez, Dade City, Fla., owns the March 2018 son of Colburn Primo 5153.
- SFG King 3107 won reserve grand champion bull. Robert Sand Jr., Alachua, Fla., owns the March 2017 son of Silveiras Style 9303.
- Austin Alvarez showed the grand champion female. Alvarez Jestress C026 is a May 2019 daughter of Colburn Primo 5153.
- Jayce Ware, Lithia, Fla., owns the reserve grand champion female, Silveiras Saras Dream 8367. She’s a June 2018 daughter of Silveiras Style 9303.
- PVF Frontier Gal 6234 won grand champion cow-calf pair. Austin Alvarez owns the May 2016 daughter of PVF Insight 0129. An October 2019 heifer calf sired by PVF Inauguration 6174 completes the winning pair.
- Haydn Evans, Alma, Ill., owns the reserve grand champion cow-calf pair. Kramers Lady 657 is an April 2016 daughter of HB Success 33. A September 2019 heifer calf sired by Kramers Knock Out 6049 TL is at side.
