OLYMPIA, Wash. — All wheat stored in all positions on December 1, 2022 totaled 57.6 million bushels in Idaho, up from 48.7 million bushels a year ago. Off-farm stocks were up 32 percent, while on-farm stocks were unchanged compared to the previous year. In Oregon, wheat stored in all positions totaled 34.0 million bushels, up from 21.1 million bushels a year ago. Off-farm stocks were up 62 percent, while on-farm stocks were up 59 percent compared to the previous year. In Washington, wheat stored in all positions totaled 87.8 million bushels, up from 81.9 million bushels a year ago. Off-farm stocks were down 2 percent, while on-farm stocks were up 96 percent compared to the previous year. Nationally, wheat stored in all positions totaled 1.28 billion bushels, down from 1.38 billion bushels a year ago. Off-farm stocks were down 17 percent, while on-farm stocks were up 32 percent compared to the previous year.
Barley stocks in all positions on December 1, 2022 totaled 35.0 million bushels in Idaho, unchanged from 33.8 million bushels a year ago. Off-farm stocks were up 1 percent, while on-farm stocks were up 6 percent compared to the previous year. In Oregon, barley stored in all positions totaled 1.34 million bushels. Off farm stocks were 875,000 bushels. On-farm stocks were up 254 percent compared to the previous year. In Washington, barley stored in all positions totaled 5.03 million bushels, up from 2.36 million a year ago. Off-farm stocks were up 96 percent from previous year, while on-farm stocks were up174 percent compared to the previous year. Nationally, barley stored in all positions totaled 114 million bushels, up from 97.2 million bushels from a year ago. Off-farm stocks were down 7 percent, while on-farm stocks were up 47 percent compared to the previous year.
Oats stored in off-farm locations on December 1, 2022 totaled 327,000 bushels in Oregon. Washington, oats stored in all positions totaled 67,000 bushels, up from 51,000 bushels a year ago. Nationally, oats stored in all positions totaled 53.6 million bushels, down from 55.4 million bushels a year ago. Off-farm stocks were 29.4 million bushels, down 20 percent from the previous year, while on-farm stocks were 24.2 million bushels, up 30 percent compared to the previous year.
Corn stored in off-farm locations on December 1, 2022 totaled 5.40 million bushels in Idaho. In Washington, corn stored in off-farm locations totaled 8.95 million bushels, down 14 percent from a year ago. Nationally, corn stored in all positions totaled 10.8 billion bushels, down from 11.6 billion bushels a year ago. Off-farm stocks were 4.1 billion, down 8 percent, while on-farm stocks were 6.75 billion, down 7 percent a year ago.
