OLYMPIA, Wash. — All wheat stored in all positions on December 1, 2021 totaled 48.8 million bushels in Idaho, down from 84.7 million bushels a year ago. Off-farm stocks were down 43 percent, while on-farm stocks were down 42 percent compared to the previous year. In Oregon, wheat stored in all positions totaled 21.1 million bushels, down from 38.2 million bushels a year ago. Off-farm stocks were down 43 percent, while on-farm stocks were down 53 percent compared to the previous year. In Washington, wheat stored in all positions totaled 82.6 million bushels, down from 147 million bushels a year ago. Off-farm stocks were down 44 percent, while on-farm stocks were down 38 percent compared to the previous year. Nationally, wheat stored in all positions totaled 1.39 billion bushels, down from 1.70 billion bushels a year ago. Off-farm stocks were down 8 percent, while on-farm stocks were down 43 percent compared to the previous year.
Barley stocks in all positions on December 1, 2021 totaled 33.8 million bushels in Idaho, up from 45.4 million bushels a year ago. Off-farm stocks were down 12 percent, while on-farm stocks were down 35 percent compared to the previous year. In Oregon, On-farm stocks were 130,000 bushels, down 54 percent compared to the previous year. In Washington, barley stored in all positions totaled 2.61 million bushels, down from 7.45 million a year ago. Off-farm stocks were down 67 percent, while on-farm stocks were down 56 percent compared to the previous year. Nationally, barley stored in all positions totaled 97.6 million bushels, down from 149 million bushels a year ago. Off-farm stocks were down 14 percent, while on-farm stocks were down 49 percent compared to the previous year.
Oats stored in off-farm locations on December 1, 2021 totaled 86,000 bushels in Idaho, down from up 163,000 bushels from a year ago. In Washington, oats stored in off-farm locations totaled 51,000 bushels, down from 110,000 bushels the previous year. Nationally, oats stored in all positions totaled 55.5 million bushels, down from 62.5 million bushels a year ago. Off-farm stocks were up 10 percent, while on-farm stocks were down 36 percent compared to the previous year.
Corn stored in off-farm locations on December 1, 2021 totaled 641,000 bushels in Oregon, down 49 percent from a year ago. In Washington, corn stored in off-farm locations totaled 10.5 million bushels, down 15 percent from a year ago. Nationally, corn stored in all positions totaled 11.6 billion bushels, up from 11.3 billion bushels a year ago. Off-farm stocks were up 4 percent, while on-farm stocks were up 3 percent compared to the previous year.
