QUEENSTOWN, Md. — The Mid Atlantic Certified Crop Advisers are invested in the future CCA’s or related careers. For the 2022 – 2023 school year, the crop advisers are offering up to two $1,000 scholarships. Recipients will also be given the opportunity to take the CCA Exam free of cost, following graduation.
Applicants must be a resident of or attending a college or university in the Mid-Atlantic region (Delaware, Maryland, New Jersey, Virginia, or West Virginia) and working towards a degree in plant or soil sciences, agronomy, or an agriculture-related field.
Scholarship funding is provided by the Mid Atlantic Certified Crop Advisers Program. The purpose of the scholarship is to provide financial support to students interested in pursuing a career that would lead them to become a certified crop adviser or certified professional agronomist.
The scholarship committee will select the scholarship recipients with all personal information redacted, based on the student’s agronomic background, relevant field involvement, financial need, grade point average, agronomic related studies, career goals, and extra-curricular activities.
