WASHINGTON – On Wednesday, March 22, U.S. Agriculture Secretary Tom Vilsack will travel to Weld County, Colorado, where he will visit a local school. There, he will announce several actions by the Biden-Harris Administration through the U.S. Department of Agriculture, including new investments to support and expand students’ access to healthy school meals in Colorado and across the country. The school visit in Colorado and announcements, which come amid National Nutrition Month, highlight the Biden-Harris Administration’s commitment to ensuring children have consistent access to meals that support their health and well-being. This is a key aspect of the Biden-Harris Administration’s National Strategy on Hunger, Nutrition, and Health, which committed to ending hunger and reducing diet-related diseases, and health disparities by 2030.
