AUSTIN — Texas Agriculture Commissioner Sid Miller praised the appointment of two Texas Members of Congress, Dr. Ronny Jackson (R-Victoria) and Monica de la Cruz (R-Pharr), to the U.S. House Agriculture Committee for the 118th Congress.
“Both Congressman Jackson and Congresswoman de la Cruz will do well representing the Texas point of view on agriculture. Both serve vital agricultural districts, and they will provide a strong Texas point of view when it comes to writing the 2023 Farm Bill,” Commissioner Miller stated.
“I consider both of them personal friends and they both understand that we at the Texas Department of Agriculture stand ready to assist them in any way we can. Agriculture will have a number of challenges over the next two years, and we want to help the get the job done for Texas and for U.S. Agriculture,” Miller stated.
