RALEIGH, N.C.–Once again, Beaufort County Cooperative Extension is partnering with Beaufort County Farm Bureau to host an informational meeting for farmers and agribusinesses pertaining to transportation regulations affecting agriculture.
This meeting will take place at the Beaufort County Extension Office on Monday, January 29th, beginning at 9:30 AM.Beaufort County Farm Bureau will be providing lunch. We need to know how many to prepare lunch for, so please call 252-946-0111 to let us know if you plan to attend.
Here is a description of the event:
The North Carolina Highway Patrol will offer a presentation covering Commercial Motor Vehicles as it relates to the farming industry. Topics discussed will include common driver and vehicle violations as well as state and federal regulations. The new requirements for Electronic Log books will be covered as well. This will be open discussion and you will be given the opportunity to ask any questions you may have.
