SHAKOPEE, Minn. — MN Ag EXPO 2017, planned and coordinated by the Minnesota Corn Growers and Minnesota Soybean Growers, is set for Jan. 25-26 at the Verizon Wireless Center in Mankato.
MN Ag EXPO is the premiere annual event for Minnesota corn and soybean farmers. The event is free to attend and features a trade show with nearly 100 exhibitors, educational sessions focused on issues that directly impact Minnesota farmers, networking opportunities, fundraisers, leading agriculture researchers, and evening entertainment.
“MN Ag EXPO is an opportunity for farmers to come together, see old friends and make new ones, learn about ways to improve their own farming operation and celebrate Minnesota agriculture,” said Harold Wolle, Jr., president of the Minnesota Corn Growers Association and a farmer in Madelia, Minn. “This year is no exception.”
Keynote speaker topics include the economic impact of mergers in agriculture, and leadership and overcoming challenges in agriculture. Breakout sessions will focus on succession planning, pesticide registration, and more.
The Corn Growers annual live auction is set for the afternoon on Jan. 25, while the Soybean Growers will host their traditional “Beano and Vino” fundraiser later that same evening. Each event raises money to help both organizations work on behalf of Minnesota corn and soybean farmers and build a positive image for Minnesota agriculture.
Avoid lines at the door by pre-registering online at www.mnagexpo.com. The pre-registration deadline is Friday, Jan. 13. Registration will also be available on-site.
