MECHANICSBURG, Pa. — Each summer, AgChoice Farm Credit hires a group of college students for a robust, hands-on internship that includes group projects, job shadowing and skill building. This year’s interns represent three universities and will have the opportunity to work with AgChoice’s marketing, knowledge center, underwriting, lending and accounting teams.
“At AgChoice, we believe in a culture of collaboration and teamwork, and we give our interns that same opportunity,” said Darrell Curtis, AgChoice’s president and CEO. “We expect them to make tangible contributions to our operations while building their own professional skill sets.”
AgChoice’s 2018 interns include:
Cheyenne Altland of East Berlin, Pa., will serve as the AgChoice Marketing/Knowledge Center in the AgChoice Headquarters Office, located in Mechancisburg, Pa. Altland currently attends York College of Pennsylvania and will graduate Spring of 2019 with a bachelor’s degree in Marketing.
James Kustra of Gwynedd, Pa., is a Credit Analyst intern based out the AgChoice Headquarters office in Mechanicsburg, Pa. Kustra currently attends Messiah College and is expected to graduate in the spring of 2019 with his bachelor’s degree in Economics.
Jennifer Groff of State College, Pa., will serve as one of two, traditional ag interns in the AgChoice Seven Mountains and Martinsburg branches. Groff currently attends Penn State and will be graduating in December with a bachelor’s in animal science, business option, with an agribusiness management minor.
Shelly Trumpower of Maugansville, Md., is the second traditional ag intern and will be splitting her time between the the AgChoice York and Cumberland Valley branches this summer. Trumpower currently attends Penn State Mont Alto campus and will graduate in May 2018 with a bachelor’s in Business.
