OGLESBY, Ill. — An Agriculture Operator’s Certificate program will be offered at Illinois Valley Community College Feb. 7 through March 7.
The seven-session course, sponsored by IVCC’s Continuing Education Center, The University of Illinois Extension and Northern Partners Cooperative, will meet 6-9 p.m. Tuesdays and 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. Saturdays Feb. 18 and 25. Tuition is $399.
The course, CEU-1702-302, covers safety and calibration, equipment maintenance, customer relations and Illinois’ licensing requirements. Applying fertilizers and crop protection products has become an increasingly crucial part of agriculture.
The course will be taught by Kevin Nelson of Northern Partners and Russ Higgins, Extension Commercial Agriculture Educator.
