LAPEER, Mich. — It’s hard to keep up with changes and advancements in the agriculture industry.
Food@MSU is here to help sort through it all.
We’re partnering with the Mid America Cooperative Council (MACC) andAssociation for Cooperative Educators (ACE) for an Our Table conversation on new technology and methods of getting food from farm to fork. We’ll also be discussing the rise of cooperative food markets, and how they allow local farmers and growers to produce high-quality food while giving back to their communities.
Panelists are:
- Doug Buhler, MSU AgBioResearch
- Julien Geremie, ACE
- Phil Kaatz, MSU Extension
- Rod Kelsay, MACC
- Chuck Squires, Cooperative Elevator
Rebecca Jordan, chair of the Department of Community Sustainability in MSU’s College of Agriculture and Natural Resources, will moderate the conversation.
GreenStone Farm Credit Services will provide a catered lunch following the discussion.
Registration closes on May 14 and is limited to 50 people.
