PIERRE, S.D. — It is time again to make plans to attend 2017 Ag Horizons in Pierre at the Ramkota River Center on December 5 & 6. The two day line-up of speakers just continues to grow! There are 6 keynote speakers which include Chip Flory, with “Rebalancing Supply with Demand,” Dan Coffin with “Integration for Maximizing Yields,” Febina Mathew sharing new findings for “Resolving Sunflower Diseases,” and Cody Zilverberg sharing “Integrating Livestock into Cropping Systems.”
Twenty-five breakout sessions include topics which provide information on “Cover Crops and Soil Infiltration,” “2017 Growing Season, Lessons in Drought Monitoring,” “Road Safety for Large Equipment,” “Matching Oat Varieties and Marketing Opportunities,” “Getting Paid for the Crops You Grow,” “Growing Pains for Farm Family Transition,” “Water Quality and Soil Health,” “Setting the Direction of Your Operation,” “New Approach to Wheat Marketing” “How to Survive Farm Record Keeping,” “Family Conflict and Management” and much much more.
These seminars are submitted for CEU credits as well and we are able to offer one Nutrient Management, 4 Crop Management, 6 Soil and Water and 12 Professional Development CEUs for our attending agronomists.
New this year are Industry Seminars! Four companies will present new technologies and improved approaches for farm management. Central Life Sciences, Arysta Life Sciences, Pulse USA and NuSeed and Legend Seed have all committed to have presenters at this year’s conference.
