LANCASTER, Pa. — The American Bankers Association recently honored Mike Firestine, senior commercial relationship manager with Fulton Bank’s Agriculture Lending area, with the Bruning Award at the ABA’s National Agricultural Bankers Conference in Milwaukee.
“Serving the ag industry has always been a passion — there is no better feeling than helping a young farmer and watching him or her grow to be successful,” said Firestine. “I’m very blessed to get to do something that I love, working for a great company and with amazing customers. I’m grateful to the ABA for this humbling recognition.”
Firestine, a resident of Berks County, began his career in ag lending nearly 40 years ago at the former Lebanon Valley National Bank, which was acquired by Fulton Bank in 1998. In addition to serving as a relationship manager at Fulton Bank, Firestine also holds several posts in the ag industry, including:
- Chairman of the PA Farm Show Committee
- Treasurer of the PA Farm Show Scholarship Foundation
- Vice Chairman of the Friends of the Farm Show Foundation
- Treasurer of the Keystone International Livestock Exposition
- Member of the PA Land Preservation Board
- Commissioner for the PA Animal Health and Diagnostic Commission
