COLCHESTER, Vt. (AgPR) — American Agri-Women (AAW) President Karolyn Zurn says her organization reacts with optimism after listening to the President’s State of the Union Address.
Zurn says, “The State of the Union Address is exactly what American farmers, ranchers and foresters wanted to hear. We were given a brighter future because of the roll-backs on burdensome regulations and the new trade deals, that were a long time coming. We heard “America First” many times in the speech where it pertained to agriculture. It is about time that our leaders look at agriculture with admiration and respect and we are seeing that from this administration.
“We are stepping into a new era in agriculture, one that gives us the tools to do our jobs as farmers and ranchers. One where we can provide the food, fuel and fiber for the American people and the world,” Zurn concludes.
