WEST CHESTER, Pa. — The NRA Foundation has awarded the Chester County 4-H Archery Club an equipment grant exceeding $3,200 to fund bows, targets, target stands, arrows and bow stands. “We are very excited about the equipment granted to the 4-H Archery club.” said volunteer, Michelle Cross, “and pleased that the NRA is making an investment in our 4-H community.”
Chester County 4-H Archery Club meets once a month at the Upper Oxford Community Park in Oxford, PA, and by the Oxford Gun Club, located in Southwestern Chester County.
“We couldn’t be more pleased with the support expressed by the township, the Oxford Gun Club and the NRA Foundation as we continue to grow the interest of youth in the discipline of archery,” stated 4-H volunteer Michael Langer. “We really did begin this program with minimal equipment, borrowing from a neighboring county, and with the generosity of our community, local businesses, our County Extension professionals, and the NRA Foundation, we are excited to say that we can grow the program. We can serve our county youth’s interest in shooting sports, specifically archery.”
