GRAND JUNCTION, Colo. — The 76th annual WCHS/VinCO Conference & Trade Show takes place January 16 and 17, with the bus tour happening on January 15, at Two Rivers Convention Center in Grand Junction.
Western Colorado Horticultural Society (WCHS) is a non-profit organization dedicated to the future development of agriculture in Western Colorado.
WCHS has been uniting Western Slope growers for more than a hundred years. The annual WCHS Conference & Trade Show offers fruit growers and agricultural enthusiasts the opportunity to connect and learn through informational seminars, a bus tour of various farms in the Grand Valley, and a convention of agricultural vendors and exhibitors.
At this year’s conference, the WCHS keynote address will be given by Mark Harris, General Manager of the Grand Valley Water Users Association, about planning for the future in a time when drought and uncertainty are upon us. Speakers like Peter McGhee, Ph.D. and Jerry L. Hatfield, Ph.D. will present on research findings and solutions to real issues affecting fruit growers today.
The Colorado Association for Viticulture & Enology (CAVE) hosts their annual VinCO conference at the same time and place. VinCO seminars are focused on viniculture and Colorado’s emerging wine industry. All conference attendees are invited to participate in both WCHS- and VinCO-hosted seminars, and connect with folks from all corners of Western Colorado’s agricultural industry.
