PAW PAW, Mich. — Children ages 5-12 and their families are invited to 4-H Science Blast on Wednesday, July 17 from 1:00 p.m. to 3:00 p.m. at the Van Buren Youth Fair. Wednesday, July 17 is Kids’ Day at the fair! 4-H Science Blast is a youth-oriented event featuring fun, hands-on science experiments and activities.
“4-H Science Blast will give youth the opportunity to experience a small portion of what 4-H has to offer. Activities are fun and hands on. All of the experiments will assist the youth in expanding their knowledge,” stated Janice Zerbe, Extension Educator.
At 4-H Science Blast, youth ages 5 to 12 will have the chance to engage in science activities in key subject areas such as environmental science, biology and plant science. MSU Extension educators and volunteers will be talking with youth and parents to see if doing the experiments changed their science knowledge or attitudes about science.
This year Cargill is a proud sponsor of the Science Blast along with the Van Buren County 4-H Leaders’ Association, and the Van Buren County Sheriff’s Reserves.
