RENSSELAER CO., N.Y. — Cornell Cooperative Extension of Rensselaer County 4-H Teen Council Scholarship is a very special award. The money is raised by 4-H’ers to honor and support their own. This year we are excited to announce Emma Deerfield and Amber MacNeil as our scholarship recipients!
Emma Deerfield is the daughter of Cassandra Deerfield of Averill Park, and has been a member of Rensselaer County 4-H for eight years. Emma is graduating from Catholic Central High School and will attend Western New England University to study Business. Her favorite memory in 4-H was all the community service projects she participated in over the years. One that stands out is making pillowcases to donate to a homeless shelter. Emma stated that she learned new skills and connected with the community.
Amber MacNeil is the daughter of Steven and Rachel MacNeil of Hoosick Falls, NY. She has been a member of Rensselaer County 4-H for 12 years and is currently a senior at Hoosick Falls Central School.
