ONEIDA CO., N.Y. — County youth took part in the 4-H County Public Presentation event on March 16th. Public speaking evaluators Tymora Semans from Whitesboro and John Kay from Blossvale learned that Silkie chickens have black bones, President Taft was the last President to have a cow at the White House and that the milk from the Brown Swiss cow makes great cheese.
The 4-H Public Presentation program is often noted by alumnus as the activity that helped them gain confidence when expressing their thoughts and ideas and offered the most benefit in their professional and educational pursuits. Congratulations go to the parents that encouraged their children to challenge themselves and to all these youth who shared their knowledge and passions.
