BLOOMINGTON, Ill. — McLean County 4-H is home to a few livestock investigators after they all spent their time at the 2017 4-H Junior Livestock Conference held February 11-12 in Champaign, IL.
Exploring Farm Forensics was the key to the weekend, and five McLean County 4-H attendees had a theme packed schedule filled with workshops, team building, sessions and leadership activities while meeting other 4-H members from all over the state. Members worked alongside the Illinois State 4-H Livestock Ambassador Team to solve mysteries of the industry. 4-H members even got a chance to listen to industry speakers and their experiences including a keynote address from Illinois FFA Center Executive Director, Mindy Bunselmeyer.
McLean County 4-H members that participated in the conference included Micah Mohr (Ardent Tillers), Tess Birsa (Ardent Tillers), Lauren Mohr (Ardent Tillers), Sky Schumaker (County Capri), and Emerson Tarr (Hudson Ag).
